The latest issue of Skille 1000Companies, the magazine of Bergamo’s real economy with balance sheet data of the top 1,000 companies in the area, full of analysis and scenarios of the current macro-economic situation, is out.
A prominent position among the companies that have put themselves on the map during 2023 is occupied by Metalcoat, Alusteel Coating, Alpine Anodizing and Aleu, as witnessed by the four-page interview with President and CEO Matteo Trombetta Cappellani, who talked about the growth of his companies in the last year, which closed with a turnover of more than 60 million euros (about 30 percent more than in 2022).
Among the many focuses of the publication: the increase in digitalization, production capacity and, above all, sustainability (meant not only as respect for the environment, but also as enhancement of human resources and support towards the territory); the constant commitment in ECCA – European Coil Coating Association, the prestigious international association that brings together companies operating in the metal prepainting sector; the transformation that affected Metalcoat in 2023.
In fact, the Bergamo-based company became an SpA in 2023 and a few weeks later joined Confindustria Bergamo. Actions that paved the way for a historic turning point for the company led by Matteo Trombetta Cappellani.
In September, in fact, Metalcoat won the tender to acquire the business unit and related production lines of Plalam in Ascoli Piceno, located in a 110,000-square-meter plant in the Campolungo industrial area.
With this transaction, the company now ranks as the third largest production player at the European level in coil-coating, entering as a key player in international markets and decisively enriching the group’s offering.
