Metalcoat has finalized the acquisition of the famous villa at 20 Via dei Partigiani, right in the center of Bergamo. The building, in late neoclassical style, was the home of Bergamo’s historic Lorenzelli Gallery, directed by Pietro Lorenzelli and later by his son Jacopo and which played such a large part in the variety and richness of collecting in the city of Bergamo during the 20th century.
The company will make it its new headquarters: by the end of the year the administrative, financial and commercial departments will be moved there.
“We are proudly Bergamo-based and we love our land: this is why we decided to keep the company’s new headquarters in the city center, inside such a prestigious building that also housed an art gallery in the past,” explains Matteo Trombetta Cappellani, Metalcoat’s president and CEO. “The history of this villa immediately impressed and won us over: we will maintain all the charm of the structure, which is perfect to accommodate our growing needs. Within an area of 850 m2, our employees will be able to operate in large, bright and fully functional spaces: looking forward, the building will also be able to accommodate further future expansions.”
The purchase deed for the villa was formalized in the presence of notary Dr. Jean-Pierre Farhat at the firm Farhat & Divizia Notai Associati in Bergamo, and the real estate transaction was coordinated and supervised by the accounting firm of Dr. Andrea Onorato Cattaneo in Bergamo.
