Zulieta is the Laboratory Manager at Alusteel Coating and also works in support of the Environment and Safety Manager.
A Biotechnology graduate from the University of Pavia, she has solid professional experience in multinational colour companies, as Laboratory, Quality and Continuous Improvement Manager.
“My job mainly consists of finding technical solutions to best meet customer requirements: from the most sophisticated aesthetic finishes, to projects that require increased durability and resistance in hostile environments,” explains Zulieta.
Among the many projects he is working on are high-thickness treatments, which make aluminium resistant to corrosion, UV rays and other harmful agents related to exposure to extreme weather or stress conditions.
Under Zulieta’s guidance and in close collaboration with suppliers, the laboratory is also working on the development of water-based primers, which would avoid the use of polluting solvents, and organic paints, i.e. obtained from natural or recyclable materials, which would reduce the environmental impact of the entire production process.

“We are always very careful to provide a product of the highest quality, with timeliness and maximum flexibility with respect to customer needs,” confirms Zulieta, “One example is how we often have to reproduce, with a spray paint, the same aesthetic and qualitative yield as a powder colour: an extremely difficult objective to achieve, but one that Alusteel Coating’s great expertise is able to reach.”
