Matteo Trombetta Cappellani, the entrepreneur from Bergamo at the helm of Metalcoat, Alusteel Coating, Alpine Anodizing and Aleu – specializing in the production and marketing of prepainted aluminium and steels, announces the reinforcement of the industrial partnership for prepainted steels with Marcegaglia, a global leader in the steel sector.
This has been made possible by the recent acquisition and commissioning of the Metalcoat plant in Ascoli Piceno, which has expanded the group’s production range of prepainted steels, which was previously entirely manufactured at the Alusteel Coating plant in Somaglia (Lodi).
The new plant covers an area of 110,000 m2 (60,000 m2 are covered), with two electro-galvanizing and prepainting lines: the latter has a production capacity of 120,000 t/year for carbon steel galvanized coils.
The range of prepainted coils manufactured in the Ascoli Piceno plant can reach a width of 1,500 mm, with thicknesses from 0.25 to 3 mm. The colours used are made from eco-friendly materials, ensuring a durable and environmentally friendly product.
All this allows Metalcoat to provide a higher level of customization of the final product, an even richer range of products and high-quality services, thus being able to satisfy the most diverse customer needs.
“The consolidation of the existing agreement with Marcegaglia represents an important step forward in our path of growth and specialization,” says Matteo Trombetta Cappellani. “It is part of a broader vision of our group, which has foreseen for the Ascoli Piceno plant an investment plan of 10/12 million euros over the next three years, with the consequent expansion of the production lines and related new hires. For 2024, the group’s target is a growth of 35%, equivalent to a turnover of 85 million euros.“
