With 15 per cent of car parts produced on a large scale already made of aluminium, and this percentage exceeding 50 per cent in electric vehicles, its fundamental role in the sector becomes clear.
The EU-funded SALEMA project is designed to develop new aluminium alloys for use in the production of electric vehicles, which have been validated through five case studies based on significant automotive components.
Tomorrow, 8 May, at an event organised by Metef as part of the E‑TECH EUROPE 2024 event, the results, the alloys designed and produced, and the innovative components manufactured will be presented.
