The growth trajectory continues for Alusteel Coating, Alpine Anodizing, Metalcoat, and Aleu, which ended 2022 with an aggregate turnover of €54 million and an increase of 21 percent over the previous year.
“For 2023 we expect to maintain the aggregate turnover achieved in 2022, if not even achieve a slight growth: all this despite the fact that the price of aluminum has dropped by more than €1/kg and the market scenario is not particularly dynamic,” declares Matteo Trombetta Cappellani, Chairman and CEO of the companies. “Our strategy is represented by a strong international expansion, with distribution agreements signed for the Spanish and Portuguese markets, and the extension of activities to new application sectors, such as household appliances (with supplies to General Electric America and for Red Bull branded refrigerators) and signage for the Paris metro network.”
“This goal will only be achievable through an increase in production volumes, which we are supporting with significant investments,” continues the entrepreneur from Bergamo.
In fact, the group is completing the 6-million-euro investment plan started in 2022, implemented to increase productivity, but also to create more functional and comfortable workspaces and cut down on water and energy consumption.
The assessment of the potential environmental impact of group activities; the monitoring of water resources used; the recycling and sustainable management of any hazardous substances; and the installation of photovoltaic panels on the roofs of industrial plants, with the aim of producing renewable energy, reducing emissions and optimizing internal consumption (-30 percent of energy used thanks to the photovoltaic system) go in this direction.
“With a view to expansion also goes the current and ongoing plan to hire specialized employees, whose skills are one of the keys to the success of the companies in our group,” Trombetta Cappellani concludes.
